EFE Launches #FirstJob Campaign

It is dignity, stability, and hope.

Employment is dignity, stability, and hope. But the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is the hardest place on the planet for youth to get their first job.

We can change this.

To celebrate the success of the 50,000 Education For Employment (EFE) alumni and to mark our ten year anniversary, we are launching the #FirstJob campaign.  With the support of MBC, the largest broadcaster in the Middle East, #FirstJob will use the power of storytelling to help more MENA youth enter the world of work.

 Will you help?

We are asking supporters like you to spread the word to your networks by sharing the #FirstJob stories that you find on EFE’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and website today and over the next few months.

You can also share your own #FirstJob story to show youth that an entry-level job is a first step to professional success, and to remind employers why it is so important to give young jobseekers a chance.  Here's how it works.

  1. Take a selfie at work.
  2. Add this caption: My #FirstJob was ______.  Today, I am __(your current role or work)__. What’s your story? @EFE_Global @MBCHope
  3. Post to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram

To explore more ways to engage, you can email us at firstjob@efe.org.
