Education For Employment – Europe (EFE-Europe) is seeking expert consultants (individuals or firms) to adapt and deliver technical training in Sustainable Cleaner Production (SCP) and Green Energy as part of the EU-funded SMILE project in East Jerusalem.
The consultants will work with B-CITE, Al-Quds University, and EFE-Palestine to localize international SCP materials and deliver a certified training for engineers from partner institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and adapt existing SCP modules to local Palestinian regulatory, environmental, and industrial contexts.
- Develop training modules in the following areas:
- Energy Mapping and Auditing (EnM)
- Environmental Auditing and Management (EM)
- Resource Efficiency in Cleaner Production (RECP)
- Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA)
- Cleaner Production Assessment (CPA)
- Monitoring and Targeting (M&T)
- Circular Economy, Eco-Design, and Eco-Innovation
- Design and deliver a certified 30-hour training program in one of the following areas:
- Energy Management Systems (EnMS)
- Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
- Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA)
- Relevant Industrial Codes and Standards
- Facilitate in-person training sessions (with potential for virtual components).
- Develop training materials, evaluation tools, and a final report with insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Environmental, Energy, or Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in SCP, energy management, and circular economy practices
- Knowledge of ISO standards and Palestinian environmental regulations
- Experience in adult-learning methodologies and capacity-building
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Familiarity with East Jerusalem’s socio-economic and regulatory context preferred
