Meet Hanadi, an aspiring entrepreneur in Gaza with a passion for agriculture. She started Solar Food, an environmental business that dries fruits using an energy-saving solar-air dryer she built herself. "I always wanted to start a business that helps the agricultural community in my area. That's how I came up with the idea for Solar Food." Her goal is to improve the drying process and overcome the challenges of power outages in Gaza. Solar Food also helps reduce food waste by using surplus crops that would otherwise go to waste. Hanadi's home garden serves as the drying location, generating profits for herself and local farmers. "Thanks to the financial grant from EFE-Palestine, I could get the necessary tools and equipment, which helped me speed up the fruit preparation phase for drying." With a financial grant and training from EFE-Palestine, Hanadi gained essential skills and resources. She now confidently runs her business, dreams of expanding to a large industrial enterprise with advanced solar-air dryers. "The training program with EFE-Palestine has improved my entrepreneurial skills, making me more confident in interacting with the market, customers, farmers, and merchants. Now, I can run my business more successfully." Through determination and support, Hanadi's vision of making a positive impact on her community is becoming a reality. "I believe I am getting closer to achieving my dream, and taking Solar Food to the next level." Solar Food's success is a testament to her dedication to serving the agricultural community in Gaza.
