EFE-Egypt is delivering technical and vocational training for youth under its project supporting refugees and host communities in Greater Cairo, Alexandria, and Damietta, implemented under the ILO-PROSPECTS program and funded by the Government of the Netherlands.
To date, the program has trained 89 youth, including 49 Sudanese and 40 Egyptians, through hands-on training in the garment and apparel and food processing sectors. Across different cohorts, participants have built practical skills ranging from sewing and textile production to food preparation, while the current employment-track cohort continues training in the garment and apparel sector. Upon completion, participants will also receive support connecting to job opportunities through employment fairs, helping them take the next step toward sustainable livelihoods.
