EFE and Think Human Foundation supported climate-resilience and green-skills training for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across Algeria. The project trained 15 youth-led or youth-centered CSOs from 11 wilayas and prepared them to deliver community-based green and employability training.

The program began with a national market analysis and CSO selection, followed by a seven-day Training of Trainers on soft skills, green-economy concepts, urban waste management and climate-resilience practices using practical, contextualized methods. CSOs then launched internal rollouts that reached 140 beneficiaries in the first year. The training strengthened organizational capacity and positioned CSOs to train 1,000 youth aged 18 to 35, with more than half expected to be women.  

THF Green has set the groundwork for next year’s youth-training phase and future civic-engagement efforts, with CSOs reporting stronger capacity, better coordination, and a deeper understanding of climate issues in their communities.
