EFE-Jordan, in collaboration with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), marked the conclusion of activities under the Abdali Mall Recruitment and Training Centre (AMRTC) initiative. Since 2017, this partnership has implemented 11 projects, supporting a wide range of sectors including hospitality, plumbing, retail sales, filmmaking, garment, beauty, call centers, packaging and filling, and handicrafts.
Held under the patronage of H.E. Philip Hall, British Ambassador to Jordan, the closing event, “The Power of Partnerships,” brought together partners, donors, and employers to reflect on the initiative’s impact. Over the past six years, AMRTC has provided soft skills training, technical skills development, and career counseling to Jordanian and Syrian youth, with more than 750 participants receiving training and job placement opportunities. The event also featured success stories from participants and discussions on the role of private-sector collaboration in expanding employment pathways.
EFE-Jordan reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships and equipping youth with market-driven skills, ensuring they can contribute to Jordan’s workforce and economic growth.
