Through the COOPI, (Cooperazione Internazionale) project EFE-Palestine graduates led a series of community-based Psychological First Aid and Medical First Aid outreach sessions across displacement camps, schools, hospitals, and community learning spaces in Gaza.
Between April 5 and May 5, 22 trained facilitators delivered 12 interactive sessions, reaching 285 people, including 150 children and adolescents, 115 women, and 20 older persons. Using activities such as play-based learning, group discussions, role-playing, and practical first aid demonstrations, participants strengthened their emotional wellbeing, built resilience, and learned essential emergency response skills.
The initiative demonstrates how EFE-Palestine graduates are using their training to provide practical psychosocial support and strengthen community resilience during times of crisis.
