EFE-Palestine is implementing an Education in Emergencies (EiE) capacity-building program in Middle Gaza to strengthen the ability of teachers and facilitators to support children and learners affected by conflict, displacement, and disruptions to education.

Through two completed cohorts, 60 teachers and facilitators working across a network of 30 educational points have received training in Psychosocial Support, soft skills, and technical Education in Emergencies competencies. A third cohort is also planned as part of the current intervention.

The training combines 10 hours of Psychosocial Support, 20 hours of soft skills, and 36 hours of technical EiE training, helping participants strengthen their communication, resilience, psychosocial support, and emergency education skills.

By strengthening the capacity of educators already working within communities, the program aims to extend its impact beyond direct participants, supporting safer, more responsive learning environments for children across Gaza.
