In continuance of a long-term regional partnership with JPMorganChase, Education For Employment (EFE), the leading youth employment organization in the region, JP Morgan Chase will support EFE in implementing the new Youth in Tech-NextGen program. The program will build off its past success of training 345 young women on ICT skills, and digital marketing, and provide a specialized training to 255 youth in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt and equip them with essential digital skills and information and communication technology (ICT) knowledge, with more than 100 young women receiving tech skills training since 2022 in Saudi Arabia.

The program will focus on in-demand skills for employment within the fastest growing sectors in the region. Participants will receive technical training, develop foundational and advanced skills in Artificial Intelligence, learn how to incorporate AI tools into web development and digital marketing, and gain practical experience by working on real-world projects. In addition to technical training, participants will also receive Career Readiness training in critical professional skills in areas such as teamwork, innovation, flexibility, and professional ethics.

This initiative is aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, Bahrain Vision 2030, and Egypt Vision 2030, which aim to position Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt, as leaders of the digital transformation era and expand into high-value added sectors. Preparing the next generation with essential digital skills, technical training, and professional skills is an essential component. In particular, youth labor force participation in sectors like ICT, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, and AI is a top priority.

“We are very pleased to partner again with JPMorganChase to enable Saudi, Bahraini, and Egyptian youth reach their potential by empowering them with the cutting-edge skills to compete in growing sectors, especially in the digital-based economy, for the future of work,” said EFE-Global’s Director of Gulf Programs, Amr Abdallah. “The skills that these young women will acquire are based on the proven model that has enabled EFE in Saudi to connect over 22,000 youth to the world of work, and more than 30,000 youth in Egypt to the world of work, in which 55% of them are young women. We look forward to the continued support from J.P. Morgan.” Noted Amr Abdallah.

This program will support EFE’s mission of reducing unemployment and expanding opportunities for youth, particularly those of low-income status. EFE will collaborate with potential employers and secure commitments to hire graduates from the Program. Beyond the initial program, EFE will facilitate continuous learning and a strong sense of community. EFE will provide participants with mentorship opportunities with experienced professionals, as well as introducing an online alumni network where graduates can share experiences and access industry insights.

EFE is excited to welcome this promising new era that brings in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt, and the continued support of J.P. Morgan Chase.
